Go around the world in one day! At Lisbon Jardim Zoológico, travel the world without leaving Lisbon. Start by discovering the Sumatran tigers in the dense vegetation of the humid tropical forest, observe the behavior of lions, giraffes and elephants in the arid African savannah and be dazzled by the majestic flights of the colorful birds of South America.

Some highlights

In the Savana MEO there are three distinct spaces: the giraffe installation, the hippopotamus installation, and the elephant and nyala installation. When visiting this imposing area you’ll see how the animals cohabit. In this way, the Zoo seeks to immerse visitors in the vast African savannah, reinforcing the importance of habitat preservation in the conservation of species.

Valley of the Tigers is also made up of three distinct spaces: the Siberian Tiger installations , the Sumatran Tiger installations and, in the center, the temple, a covered space, intended to inform and raise awareness of these species. There are only 6,000 Tigers left on earth and the Lisbon Zoo plays an important part in the conservation of these amazing animals.

Monkeys are always a firm favourite with kids and adults alike. Built with the species that inhabit it in mind (chimpanzees , gorillas and orangutans ), the Temple of Primates, in addition to having a magnificent outdoor space, consisting of trees, waterfalls, lakes, vegetation and wooden platforms for the animals to climb, is one of the facilities for the world's most modern primates.

Cable Car trip which takes about 20 minutes and gives you a totally different perspective of the Lisbon Zoo and the animals below.
