Just a few steps downhill from the Miradouro you’ll find Madame Petisca , it’s a rooftop restaurant with incredible views.
The monument in the garden depicts the Adamastor who is a mythological character who was created by the renowned Portuguese poet, Luis de Camoes. In a poem from 1572 Camoes describes the Adamastor as a creature who symbolises the danger of the sea around the Cape of Good Hope during the Age of Discoveries. The Adamastor manifests itself out of a storm.
