Renowned for its nightlife, the neighborhood of Cais do Sodré was the historical hangout for international sailors of a bygone era, spies during WWII, artists, writers and ladies of the night. The building also has various rooms which depict the cultural history of the establishment and often there are burlesque performances, themed parties, poetry meetings, theater and lots of live music.
Back on Pink Street you’ll find a magnificent shop which specialises in tinned fish and of course it includes the famous portuguese sardines. Other places of interest close by include, the local fresh vegetable and fish markets, plus the famous TimeOut food hall.
